DESCRIPTION

**This position is located in Northwest Arkansas**

Provides occupational therapy services to clients of Pathfinder, Inc. according to a written medical physician's prescription/referral, and according to an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Supervises, trains and evaluates any staff assigned to assist in occupational therapy services, and relates in a professional manner to the staff of other disciplines in carrying out their respective duties.

Looking for Occupational Therapist with excellent interpersonal skills to work with adults with developmental disabilities in a skilled training facility at Bentonville and Cave Springs locations.

1 Full/Part-time position is available.

Hours: Vary.

Location: Bentonville and Cave Springs, AR.

DUTIES

PATIENT CARE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides occupational therapy to clients including evaluations and assessments of dysfunction in such areas as upper extremity strength and range, fine motor skills, visual motor and perceptual motor skills, adaptive equipment needs and orthotic needs.

Program planning for occupational therapy will include developing, implementing, modifying and following treatment programs.

Consultation and education on a formal and informal level with medical and educational professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents regarding client care.

Assumes responsibility for the care and safety of clients during treatment.

Establishes treatment schedules and schedules new clients accordingly.

Records accurate client treatment/billing information.

Instructs clients, families and others as indicated.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains inventory of agency and corporation equipment assigned to the occupational therapy department.

Adheres to established policies and procedures.

Informs Therapy Supervisor of supplies and materials/equipment needed for the occupational therapy department.

Participates in the development of agency program needs.

Demonstrates abililty to work effectively with agency personnel, parents, and other related parties.

Coordinates schedules with agency personnel, parents and other related parties.

EDUCATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as clinical instructor to occupational therapy department auxiliary staff.

Develops personal professional goals and plans for continuing education with consideration for needs of the agency.

Participates in educational activities for the agency.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Staff Occupational Therapist must have a B.S or M.S. in Occupational Therapy and be registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association and licensed by the State of Arkansas Medical Board to practice Occupational Therapy.

Must possess current Arkansas driver's license, have current auto liability insurance coverage, and be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas. PATIENT CARE RESPONSIBILITIES
