Summary of Duties
The “Occupational therapist” is accountable for
assessment, treatment, billing and education of patients
and the appropriate documentation of such care. The
therapist is also responsible for managing and
supervising the activities of their assistant, aide and
HIRING COMPETENCIES - skills & experiences the applicant
should bring to the job.
a) License: Current Occupational Therapy license in the
State of Oregon.
b) Certification: Current Healthcare Provider BLS
preferred upon hire, and required within 6 months of
c) One-year experience in hospital acute care and
d) Knowledge of professional responsibilities and
e) Provides care appropriate to the age of patients
served in the job.
f) Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment and
treatment methods required.
g) Utilizes occupational therapy modalities and
h) Knowledge of local, state and federal rules regarding
patient treatment and documentation.
i) History of practicing in accordance with professional
licensing laws, and professional practice act.
