Office assistant for The Graduate School. Duties include answering main phone line; welcoming and directing visitors and guests; providing information to prospective and currently enrolled student; and answering general "Grad Info" email inquiries. Other duties include sorting and distributing mail; assisting with supply orders; and facilities requests. This position may assist with processing check requests, travel, and other payment documents, providing support for the financial functions of the office.
Minimum high school diploma or equivalency; two- or four-year degree preferred. Essential skills include good customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to learn quickly in a busy environment. Required experience in Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook email, calendar, Word, and Excel. Prefer experience with check requests or basic payment processing, and experience in higher education or academic setting. Applicant should have a friendly, customer-service-oriented work ethic.
