Performs a variety of routine data entry, clerical and administrative work in support of the Parks and Recreation office.

Essential Duties:

Performs routine clerical work in answering phones, receiving the public, and providing customer assistance.

Responsible for entering data into computer system.

Responsible for creating flyers for special events, sports clinics and other Parks & Recreation events and activities.

Assists with special events offered by the department.

Assists with youth and adult team sport registration and other registrations associated with the department.

Maintains and processes community mailing list, as required.

Distributes Parks & Recreation mail; handles incoming mail.

Provides clerical assistance for Parks & Recreation staff.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or equivalent; and

One year of general office, communications or records management experience; or

Any equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Must be able to type 30 wpm net.


Must have a valid Texas driver’s license by date of hire. Must be bondable.
