Walla Walla Community College invites applications to fulfill the 10-month academic year position of Office Assistant 3 (100J) on the Clarkston campus located in Clarkston, Washington.

General Responsibilities
The Office Assistant 3 provides support for instruction, business services, and admissions and registration at the Clarkston Campus. Essential Functions · Responsible for the general business operations of the Clarkston campus. · Accept cashiering payments for tuition and fee related items; assist students with payment plan set up information; prepare daily bank deposits; trouble-shooting and problem-solving errors. · Assist both walk-in and call-in students with online admission and registration tools; process applications; explain policies and procedures. · Assist in managing quarterly course room scheduling; managing room usage and facility rentals. · Perform administrative duties including: check-in/out of purchasing cards, minor maintenance on copiers, printers, and postage machine as needed. · Assist in training student employees in the business office’s functions. · Serve as a point of contact for questions regarding admissions, registration, and general information about the college.

Qualifications High school graduation or equivalent required; Associate’s degree desired AND three years of relevant full-time experience including keyboarding skills, database programs and Microsoft Office applications. Previous retail customer service desired. Equivalent education/experience may substitute at the discretion of the College.

Conditions/Terms of Employment:
Working Conditions
This position 10-month cyclic year position typically works 40 hours per week Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in an indoor office setting, sitting at a desk or computer station, throughout the 8-hour shift. This position may require some flexibility in work hours at the beginning and end of each academic quarter. Travel would be minimal.
Persons hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of lawful authorization to work in the United States within three (3) days of employment, and successfully complete a probationary period. Candidate may be subject to a criminal history background check as a condition of employment. This position is in a bargaining unit for which WPEA Higher Ed is the exclusive representative. As a condition of employment, employees must either become members of the Union and pay membership dues or, as non-members pay a fee in accordance with the contract provisions.
