We have an opening for a highly organized and self-starting individual to coordinate and support the day-to-day business and administrative operations of our growing San Francisco office. Our San Francisco office is a small, close knit group of colleagues who work on a range of strategic communications and brand reputation projects for high profile and globally recognized brands in conjunction with other APCO offices.

The position is a part-time role with a work schedule of 30 hours per week (8:30 am – 3:30 pm) and includes benefits.

Responsibilities

Partner with senior level staff members and provide support to them with their day-to-day activities

Responsible for traditional office management responsibilities including keeping the office well supplied, taking care of shipping, reception, and basic IT needs

Support the administrative aspects of business development and marketing activities for the office including helping to identify action items

Create, edit and/or proofread documents, presentations, contracts and agreements

Coordinate events meetings and travel arrangements

Facilitate contract development for new client projects in conjunction with APCO’s legal and finance staff in DC

Support basic accounting needs including tracking of project and office budgets and expenses

Process check requests and assist with monthly billing of clients

Qualifications

1-2 years of administrative or office management experience that includes fiscal responsibilities

Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to multi-task

A roll up your sleeves mentality is essential

Collaborative team player that also has the ability to work independently and be a self-starter, take initiative and set priorities

Prior experience in a start-up environment ideal

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferable
