This position is responsible for overall development and management of the day-to-day office operation of the department. The Office Manager implements and maintains quality patient care and throughput by planning and coordinating department activities. The Manager is responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with referring physicians and their staff and will act as a liaison to provide quick, competent, professional services to the practice's patients and the referring physicians. The Manager works directly with the Physicians, Operations Director, and the Chief Operating Officer to plan and achieve growth of the practice by properly identifying and developing business opportunities for the practice.
Skills & Abilities:
Must possess exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Successful organizational and management skills in an outpatient facility.
Working knowledge of managed care issues, for example, referral process, plan coverage, co-pays
Ability to handle multi-tasks in a busy academic practice.
Must be able to work independently, make decisions and act appropriately.
Values and improves patient satisfaction.
Measures and improves quality of care.
Training & Education:
College degree in affiliated health field preferred.
Experience in surgical setting preferred. Management experience or training a plus. Marketing experience preferred.
Supervises all staff in department.
