General Summary
This individual must have a working knowledge of all aspects of a medical practice and the ability to effectively supervise its employees, both clinical and clerical. Thinking and working independently is necessary, along with the confidence and competence to make reasonable decisions regarding operations of the practice following the policies and guidelines established by the MedWest Heath System.
Essential Job functions
Manage all aspects of the medical practice
Ensure employees accomplish assigned duties accurately and according to office policy
Act as Liaison between employees, providers and MedWest management team
Coordinate patient flow and authorize any change in scheduling templates
Ensure security and safety in the practice
Act as HIPPA privacy officer ensuring confidentiality throughout the practice
Ensure all employees project a positive customer service image
Submit payroll data and keep record of employee vacations, sick leave and time clock entries
Handle any patient dissatisfaction in a professional manner
Discharge, with Provider approval, any non-compliant, hostile or threatening patients
Handle any employee problems or concerns
Hire, evaluate, discipline and, if required, terminate employees
Conduct staff meetings
Conduct practice meetings with Providers and Operations Manager.
Attend any other meetings as required by MedWest management team
Communicate with Network Management and Department Heads
Prepare and submit monthly practice performance reports
Produce documentation for internal audits in a timely fashion
Verify and approve invoices (up to $500) for payment
Screen all supply orders
Speak with Vendors regarding any capital equipment purchases
Participate in insurance company site visits and make patient records available for audit
Follow- up and make any changes relative to audit results
Communicate with Risk Management department on any Risk Management issues
Maintain a visible and active presence among all staff members
Assume other duties or responsibilities requested by Physicians or Network Management
Serve as an example of a professional, high performance employee who maintains and endorses confidence in the MedWest Healthcare System

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires bending, prolonged sitting, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires adequate visual manual dexterity and verbal communication skills to give group presentations utilizing overhead and computer-assisted technology.
