Provide excellent customer service to students and staff;
Handle potentially high-stress student interactions with courtesy and respect;
Assist with processing of outgoing and incoming mail;
Accurately process cash, check and credit card payments;
Balance and maintain daily cash records for received payments;
Inactivation of billing addresses and updating address changes;
Input absences into vacation/sick leave system;
Answer telephones, route calls, take messages, and answer student questions regarding financial accounts;
File material for future reference;
Input, revise, store, and retrieve correspondence from computer, electronic files, databases, or spreadsheets;
Reconciliation of lock boxes
Processing of educational fee reductions for employees and spouses;
Prompt problem resolution to maintain UMKC standards;
Preparation of Missouri taxpayer credit applications;
Assist with outbound and inbound collection calls;
Audit and maintain repayment agreement records
A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary, as well as six months of responsible office experience. Directly related education or training may be substituted for experience.
