This position is a 2013 assignment to the Office Of Organizational and Management Effectiveness, specifically working on the Rebalancing Our Resources initiative. The position will primarily assist with implementation of two key elements: establishing Service Centers and assisting with Communication, Culture and Change Management activities. The Senior Advisor will also provide general support in other areas as needed.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage assigned projects associated with implementation of AARP Service Centers including areas such as:
Integration with existing AARP processes
Assist with issue identification and problem solving relevant to AARP Service Centers
Partner with RoR Project Manager to manage the overall implementation of AARP Service Centers, as needed
Partner with assigned Communications/Change Management liaison to AARP Service Center Team to implement specified activities including activities associated with:
Mobilizing staff support for the RoR decisions
Ensuring manager and staff have the skills and competencies needed to support the Cost Conscious Culture
Partner with individual AARP Service Center leads to research and resolve Center specific issues
Implement specific projects for the Communications, Culture and Change Management lead
Prepare project materials including thought papers and power point presentations
Participate in relevant workshops and meetings
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 6 – 10 or more years of job related experience.
Proven ability to research issues with a multitude of stakeholders and create viable solutions
