In 1924 MFS® established the first mutual fund to help make the US stock market more accessible to the average investor. Today, that commitment to investors remains evident in everything about the firm. At MFS® we hire talented individuals and allow them to work together. Office doors are always open, and everyone is on a first-name basis. We believe the best ideas emerge from a culture of collaboration.
As a key member of the Enterprise Project Management Office, the On-Boarding Manager, working with the Director of the EPMO, is responsible for managing the capture, analysis, prioritization and executive approval of all new initiatives across multiple business units within MFS. As a liaison to business teams and MFS sponsoring bodies, the On-Boarding Manager ensures new initiatives are aligned with corporate goals and are prioritized considering an appropriate balance of benefit, impact and budget. The On-Boarding Manager is directly responsible for managing the ongoing project pipeline for one or many business units within MFS and participates in the firm's recurring, cross-functional, planning cycle.
The On-Boarding Manager is the first contact and communication point for new project requests. The On-Boarding Manager working with the requesting business unit and relevant subject matter experts will capture, classify and evaluate each new idea following the defined MFS schema and process. Once assessed, the On-Boarding manager will coordinate with relevant business units to establish, and seek approval for, a recommended project priority considering the full breadth of existing initiatives. Finally, for approved initiatives, the On-Boarding manager will work with the Director of the EPMO to identify an appropriate Project Manager to plan and executive the effort.
