Job Summary


Purpose of the position:
Respond to all guest requests in a timely, efficient and guest service focused manner.

Primary Responsibilities:
Collect shoes from guest floors, shine shoes as requested, and deliver shoes back to guest doors.
Deliver newspapers to all guests and appropriate departments (i.e. Room Service, Café Fleuri, and the Health Club).
Make copies of the daily events for AM staff and post originals on both reader boards
Press any laundry that guests would need back by 8:00 AM.
Perform all duties of bellperson (see appropriate job description).

Secondary Responsibilities:
Attend monthly department meeting
Maintain neatness of concierge desk/luggage storage area.
Relieve PBX operator for 30 minutes whilst he/she takes dinner break. (Includes answering incoming calls, handling guest calls, having knowledge of fire panel in case of and emergency.)



Written/verbal English skills to effectively communicate with supervisor, coworkers, and guests.
Warm, professional, and outgoing personality.
Professional presentation and grooming in conjunction with The Langham, Boston grooming standards.
Ability to stand for length of shift; Stand, Sit, Reach, Grasp; Lift/Carry up to 50-75 lbs.; Walk Climb, Kneel, Squat, Bend , Push/Pull.
Must be a team player.
Must have excellent knowledge of Boston .
Digital dexterity; capable of using a computer keyboard.
Focus on outstanding customer service.
