The pharmacist in this position will provide oncology pharmacy services to ambulatory infusion patients. Responsibilities include: preparation, compounding and dispensing medications for infusion clinic patients; optimizing drug therapy by identifying, resolving and preventing drug related problems; counseling patients and providing drug information. The pharmacist will participate in multidisciplinary preformance improvement projects. They will also have the opportunity to work on specific clinical pharmacy initiatives and projects within a specialty practice. The pharmacist will also participate in the oversight of support personnel and the orientation and training of newly hired staff.
Job Qualifications
Pharm. D degree
Two to five years of hospital/amblatory infusion pharmacy experiene with two years of oncology experience or PGY2 oncology pharmacy residency completion
Licensed to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Schedule
Monday through Friday variable day shifts. Some evenings, weekends and holidays required.
