The pharmacist in this position will provide oncology pharmacy services to ambulatory oncology patients. This includes: the verification of provider medication and chemotherapy orders; oversight of the pharmacy technicians; optimizing drug therapy by identifying, resolving and preventing drug related problems; counseling patients and providing drug information. The pharmacy specialist will establish and maintain a pharmacy practice in a disease specialty area. This will include mutlidisciplinary committee work. The pharmacist will identify, implement and coordinate quality improvement and continuing education activities within their specialty area. They will also precept clincial pharmacy students and precept PGY2 oncology pharmacy residents.

Job Qualifications

Pharm. D., an advanced degree related to specialty practice, BCOP or PGY2 Oncology Residency is required.

5 years of hospital/ambulatory clinic experience with at least two years of oncology experience is required.

Licensed to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts


Monday through Friday variable day shifts. Some evening, weekend and Holiday shifts may be required.
