Assistant, Associate or Full Professor
The School of Social Welfare at the University Albany seeks to fill a tenure track position in Behavioral Health. This is an open rank position and can be filled at the full, associate or assistant professor level. We are recruiting scholars interested in becoming leaders in their area of social work research and in contributing to excellence in the preparation of Baccalaureate in Social Work, MSW, and PhD students.
Faculty members teach in the School’s baccalaureate, M.S.W., or doctoral programs and support full and part-time students through day, evening, or weekend classes, intensive as well as traditional length courses, and creative use of online supported learning.
Applicants must show commitment to excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service and address in the application their abilities to work within a culturally diverse environment and to prepare students to work effectively in a world of increasing diversity and global social change.
The position is a full-time academic year appointment.
Applicants must have a relevant doctoral degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. An MSW and at least two years post-MSW practice experience is preferred. Applicants with current funded research are particularly encouraged to apply.
Professional Rank and Salary Range: $65,000 - 95,000

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, or Clery Act, mandates that all Title IV institutions, without exception, prepare, publish and distribute an Annual Security Report. This report consists of two basic parts: disclosure of the University's crime statistics for the past three years; and disclosures regarding the University's current campus security policies.
