Location: Millsboro, Delaware
Manage assigned department by overseeing a staff of 30+ employees encompassing three functional areas of responsibility including supervisors and business analysts ensuring operational efficiency and targeted results are met. Provide operational, technical and functional expertise in work policies and procedures.
Essential Position Responsibilities
Responsible for the planning, leadership, innovative problem resolution, analysis and reporting for assigned department/division overseeing a staff of 30+ employees. Responsible for the approval of new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient. Support, drive and implement large scale projects impacting immediate area/division that provide strategic direction and create efficiencies for the department.
Consumer Loan Monetary Research & Processing Services
Team is responsible for management of cash processing including exception payments & payoffs, un-applied and misapplied items, fee waivers, NSF transactions, for the consumer loan business line. Products supported include consumer loans, direct and indirect installment loans (ILN), home equity loans (HELOAN), home equity lines of credit (HELOC),business access lines of credit (BALOC), business overdraft lines of credit (BOLOC) and overdraft lines of credit (ODL). Core systems supported: Shaw.
Team is responsible for field maintenance on Shaw servicing system and address maintenance on CIS and LPS servicing systems. Examples would include: ACH set up and changes, rate changes and SSCRA updates. Team is also responsible for mail / fax sorting and distribution.
Shaw Production & Project Support
Two Analysts support projects and testing efforts on changes impacting Shaw servicing system. Includes project planning, testing and implementation for projects and system upgrades. Team manages identification and resolution of system production incidents. They are heavily involved in completing and driving bank conversions and other corporate-wide initiatives impacting the Shaw system.
Nature and Scope
The position is responsible for the strategic direction of the department. Requires a comprehensive knowledge of business, applicable regulations and affiliated technology with the ability to plan, organize and supervise work of staff (supervisors, operations managers and support staff) and produce results.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree, 11 years of operations experience
Seven or more years operations experience including experience managing multi-functional units
Five or more years supervisory experience
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Demonstrated experience in improving processes and efficiency
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in project management
Ideal Qualifications Preferred:
Master’s degree preferred
Experience in financial services industry
Knowledge of consumer lending products and servicing practices
