Job Summary:
Provides leadership to ensure alignment of division with Erlanger Health System?s (EHS) mission, vision, values and strategic imperatives.
Aligns operational management with short and long-term planning that supports EHS?s Radiation Therapies? vision for growth and success.
Implements strategic and tactical plans for Radiation Therapy to achieve clinical excellence.
Oversee development of Radiation Therapies?/Infusion Services capital and annual operating budgets to ensure appropriate allocation of resources, while identifying strategies to meet the required objectives and hold team members accountable.
Leading, monitoring and assisting division in productivity and operational efficiency.
Fostering an environment of teamwork, collaboration and mutual trust among physicians and administration.
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, local regulations, EHS policies and procedures.
Ensure service line quality in alignment with the division, the market and national quality standards including best demonstrated practice. (Clinical outcomes, credentialing/privileging, processes, services, customer/patient satisfaction).
Implement and lead a continuous quality improvement process focusing on systems and process improvement.
Develops, enhances, and implements policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of their division and the organization
Promotes and supports our academic partners, including our strong affiliation with UT College of Medicine.
Promotes a high performance culture; fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment
Motivates and leads a high-performance management team; attracts, recruits and retains required members of their team; provides mentoring as a cornerstone to the management development program
Provides leadership and support to direct reports
Effectively partners and/or represents the health system with employees, customers, patients, physicians, business partners and other external constituencies

Required: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Management or directly related area

Preferred: Masters Degree in Business, Healthcare Management or directly related area
(Permissible to complete Master?s degree within three to five years of employment if not held at the point of hire)

Required: 3+ years of departmental management experience in a healthcare setting

Preferred: Experience working in a comprehensive cancer center

Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
Required: If applicable

Preferred: Clinical certification/Licensure for State of Tennessee. Involvement with local, regional and national healthcare associations/organizations

Participates in special projects as requested by the Oncology Service Line Administrator
Delegates responsibility for problem solving and decision making to the appropriate levels
Meets compliance standards of various bodies which affect the provision of services, to include Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory bodies
Has formal mechanism in place to ensure ongoing communication with staff as evidenced by minutes from staff meetings, etc?
Stays current on technology, treatment modalities, and market competition for assigned area
