This position is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Events Management (Facilities and Scheduling) with assigned day-to-day activities to include management of Operations staff employees, supervision, and evaluations. This position will also assist the Assistant Director of Events Management with troubleshooting, support, and oversight of small to mid-sized events during evenings and weekends as needed. The Operations Staff Coordinator would also help with payroll management by monitoring employee time records. This position would be responsible for interviewing and coordinating the training of new hires. The Operations Staff Coordinator would act as mentor/coach to the Operations Supervisors and Operations staff as needed in the absence of the Operations Manager and Assistant Director of Events Management.
Education and Experience
1+ years previous experience coordinating Operations staffs. Knowledge and awareness of general office procedures. Experience working in a college union environment required.
Special Physical and Mental Requirements
Must be able to move 50 lbs. and work in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
