Oracle BRM Technical Billing Manager/Architect

As a part of the Technology Services Group, the Manager will be responsible for the full systems lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of IT solutions. The Manager will work closely with clients and must demonstrate individual functional and professional knowledge to ensure work products and deliverables are of the highest caliber. The Manager will also apply project management expertise to identify, develop and implement techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate risks, resolve issues and optimize cost savings for clients, and to ensure that all project deliverables are completed on time and within budget by more junior team members. The Manager will also carry a yearly target for managed revenue.

Technical Billing Manager - Architect will be responsible for the architecture, development and maintenance of the Billing systems implementation projects primarily based on using Oracle BRM software. The Manager-Architect will work with developers and act as technical lead for the BRM customizations & configurations throughout the SDLC. Some of the key primary components include subscription billing, revenue management, payment processing, tax determination and interfaces to other systems and applications. Strong technical expertise in Oracle BRM and in-depth telecommunications knowledge is required.
Key responsibilities may include:
Defining and implementing application architecture models and programming standards
Defining and building the application development and maintenance environment for scalable billing systems
Converting and migrating customers and billing data from other systems into the new billing system
Providing estimating, forecasting and work planning assistance
Planning and managing Application Assessment and Requirements activities
Assisting clients in defining key capabilities/requirements that will enable their strategy using Oracle BRM
Defining application entrance and exit criteria
Being recognized as an expert on specifically Oracle BRM application and vendor products
Creating project deliverable templates and standards (e.g., including process standards)
Creating complex conceptual designs, including application interfaces and interactions
Planning and managing program-wide application build, test, and deploy activities
Identifying and monitoring interdependencies between various application implementation activities
Planning and establishing after go-live activities including ongoing support
Ability to travel domestically 100% to meet client demands
Five years of Oracle BRM experience or Portal Infranet Billing experience
Five years of experience in general billing functionality, including Account Management, Invoicing, Rating, Billing, Payment Processing, Collections, Pricing, and Configuration/Bundling.
Five years of Management experience
Integrating Oracle BRM with Siebel and other Oracle applications
Leadership of small teams in successful systems integration, package implementation, and/or interactive design
Systems integrations, implementations and interactive designs experience
Experience on data migration and conversion projects, particularly customer account, billing, and order data.
A deep understanding of best-practice architecture disciplines, modeling, processes and concepts.
Technical or consulting environment experience
Systems and software development life cycle including design, development, coding, testing and implementation experience
