Oracle DBA/Peoplesoft Administrator
The ODA / PeopleSoft Administrator will be responsible for the entire production system architecture and supporting environments; install, configure, maintain and ensure the proper function of the entire Oracle Database, PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) including database, web and application servers, the Process Scheduler, PeopleSoft Portal environment and Outberbay database archiving software.
Oracle DBA/Peoplesoft Administrator ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
-Monitor all aspects of system performance including databases, web servers, application servers, process schedulers.
-Installation and configuration of the Oracle RDBMS, version upgrades and support of data definition language and data dictionaries.
-Provide 24/7 on-call database support for a large production environment of over 1 TB and 24X7. -Support Oracle databases for custom developed applications.
-Responsible for deployment of strategies for back-ups, recoveries, refreshes, and long term system growth.
-Manage the design and deployment of business critical databases to ensure security and High Availability.
-Configure and maintain all PS environments, including web servers and application servers for ERP applications, PeopleSoft Portal and load balancing.
-Install PeopleSoft upgrades, bundles, tax updates and patches to all PS environments using change assistant.
-Create and refresh test instances by cloning the production instance.
-Maintain Outerbay archiving software and processes.
-Ensure the proper function of PIA, SQRs, Cobol programs and the process scheduler.
-Ensure security of the entire production system architecture and supporting instances and environments.
-Tune SQRs, SQL, and App Engine code.
-Assist developers in performance tuning of SQL statements.
-Perform code migration of all objects following proper change control procedures.
-Provide PeopleSoft Admin support to tech support and the development team.
-Create and lead testing processes to ensure minimum post-installation issues.
