Positions in this function design, implement and maintain all functions of database systems, including access, methods and time, device allocations, validation checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical methodology. Monitors overall standards and procedures, assists in integrating various systems. Consults with users, determine requirements and recommends database establishment and utilization.Primary Responsibilities:

Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Providing accurate and timely estimates for tasks
Advanced understanding of relational DBMS design and concepts
Involved in large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives
Develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business
Will be expected to handle smaller projects completely on their own
Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure
Specify users and user access levels for each segment of database
Schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems such as the installation of new databases
Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations
Develop database architectures to meet key business objectives
Conduct code review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality standards
Work with the Project Manager to scope and prioritize work
Part of development team to achieve key business objectives
Collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision-making
Design databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.
Works with less structured, more complex issues.
Serves as a resource to others.
Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of Oracle development experience
3+ years of Oracle Database Development on 10g or 11g
Understanding of Relational database design and data modeling experience
Experience with Oracle SQL*Loader, import/export tools
2+ years full lifecycle SDLC experience
Proficient in PL/SQL coding and SQL writing
Proficient with Embarcadero Data Architect
Experience with Agile methodology
Experience working with team members in multiple locations, including off-shore
Experience with TOAD for Oracle
Healthcare analytics experience preferred
