We are seeking an Outstanding Business Development Specialist to focus on lead generation programs for GE Transportation Optimization Solutions, the leading provider of transportation management software and analytics to the rail industry.
In addition, you will:
Be responsible for the execution of lead and demand generation programs
Execute lead generation programs and follow best practices for prospect management to ensure all qualified leads are actively managed, timely recorded, and expertly passed to the Sales team
Contact prospects to qualify interest in company products and services, alert prospects to new or improved products and services, and use a consistent approach via phone and email to follow-up, nurture, and qualify leads
Develop and maintain daily work plans to maximize prospect interaction, including pre-call planning, adhering to metrics, and customizing scripts to market segments and prospect type
Listen carefully, manage expectations, overcome objections, and ensure timely follow-up and routing of all leads
Maintain knowledge of company products and services, industry trends, and competitive offerings
Follow the pre-sales process and use Salesforce.com to manage and document prospect interaction and opportunity status
Prepare summary reports to recap lead generation programs, activities, production, and results (e.g., webinar registrants, email campaign metrics, net new leads, conversion rates, etc.)
Work closely with the Sales team to develop and execute proactive outbound calling strategies to penetrate accounts
Meet weekly performance targets for new contacts, meetings, and product demos
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or other business related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in inside sales or marketing lead generation

Previous experience executing lead and demand generation programs for a B2B company
Strong probing and listening skills to uncover prospect “pain points” and business needs
Experience with prospect management, cold calling, objection handling, and closing
Proven ability to learn and apply new information in prospect-facing scenarios
Demonstrated ability to overcome objections and convert interest to opportunities
Experience in marketing software or logistics solutions
Proficient with all MS Office tools, Internet search, and CRM software
