K&J Trucking, Inc, is a premier refrigerated 48 state carrier based in Sioux Falls, SD. We are currently reviewing applications for over the road drivers and owner operators that live within 150 miles of Sioux Falls, SD. If you are in Storm Lake, Spirit Lake, LeMars, or Sheldon, Iowa area you are in the hiring area. If you are in the Norfolk, Pilger, Laurel, Bloomfield, Niobrara, Wayne, or West Point, Nebraska areas you are within the hiring area. If you are in the Ortonville, Marshall, Montevideo, Redwood Falls, Pipestone, Windom, Fairmont, or Worthington, MN you are in the hiring area. We hire from that geographic area so we have you home on a regular basis.
You are paid weekly as long as you turn in paperwork on time. We offer late model equipment to drive. All our trailers are 3 years or newer with air sliding tandems. Although we are a 48 state carrier we do not go to New York City. We do go to New York State. We also travel to the northwest and southwest. These routes may require you to put chains on the truck. We are also looking to lease on Owner Operators or small Fleet Operators with late model equipment.
You are dispatched with ample time to make the trip legally. Blatant out of service inspections on the road are not tolerated. This is the commitment that we have made to the drivers that have been here for 10, 15 & up to 28 years. K & J Trucking is a place that drivers come to and stay! We pride ourselves on wanting to know your name not your truck number when you call in.
We prefer 1-2 years of experience but will train someone who has the right aptitude for a driving career. We do complete work and criminal background checks. We do not accept anyone with a DUI or drug conviction with in the last 5-7 years. Your Motor Vehicle Report will be evaluated as well as your reemployment screening program through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration for the CSA information. Employment also requires a clean reemployment drug screen and completion of a job function screening.
