Company Information: Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) is one of the largest non-profit Youth and Family Support agencies working with high-risk youth and their families in the United States. Currently, YAP employs more than 2,000 plus dedicated workers and serves approximately 12,000 families per year. Our mission is to engage human service systems so that they rely less on institutional care and invest more in supporting families and neighborhoods. We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, young people, young adults and families.
Summary of the Position: Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. of Lancaster County, PA is looking for a candidate holding a Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, or social work. This is a hands-on position providing therapeutic services to children, youth, and families. Duties include but not limited to: direct therapy/counseling, treatment plan development and implementation of treatment plans. The person in this position adheres to and carries out the YAP philosophy, mission and core principles. Opportunities for licensed supervision may be available.
Qualifications/Requirements: Master's Degree in counseling, psychology or social work and experience providing therapeutic services to kids and families. Criminal background checks and child abuse clearances are required. Position also requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and car insurance limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability.
