Company Information: Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) is one of the largest non-profit Youth and Family Support agencies working with high-risk youth and their families in the United States. Currently, YAP employs more than 2,100 dedicated workers and serves approximately 10,000 families per year. Our mission is to engage human service systems so that they rely less on institutional care and invest more in supporting families and neighborhoods. We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, young people, young adults and families.

Summary of the Position: The Outpatient Licensed Therapist is responsible for the provision of "face-to-face" clinical behavioral stabilization and support interventions, supportive behavioral counseling, psycho-educational services, referrals, skills training, advice and counseling services designed to assist children, youth and/or their families to strengthen and develop the adaptive and coping skills they need to restore or maintain the child or youth's capacity to function in the community.

In addition, as an employee of YAP, the Outpatient Licensed Therapist will assume an active role in improving his/her department/program outcome and overall organizational performance through participation in Company quality improvement activities.

Qualifications/Requirements: Licensure in a behavioral health field such as social work, counseling, psychology, or psychiatric nursing and authorization within the scope of practice as licensed/certified by New Jersey to assume responsibility for the provision of and the supervision of behavioral health services. Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling. Experience working with children also required. Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and car insurance limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability. This position requires background checks to be completed.
