GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The purpose of the position is to perform administrative support and public relations work in operational maintenance of boat docking facilities of the City’s marina. Employees in this class provide assistance in docking procedures and are responsible for assigning transient docking space and proper slips according to vessel size. Position provides security and routine maintenance to the docking areas, boats, and adjacent facilities. Incumbents operate the sales office, and perform various record maintenance duties related to such. Performs related work as directed.

Typical Qualifications:

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED preferred; supplemented by up to one (1) year previous experience and/or training in marina operations or demonstrated experience in safe boating practices; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

ADA COMPLIANCE: Physical Ability : Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, with greater emphasis on climbing and balancing, but typically also involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 100 pounds).
