Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 5 years experience in an administrative capacity in a social service, hospital or community based organization. Previous volunteer experience required. Strong organizational skills and good judgment, as well as outstanding interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) are required. Demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to work in a large complex organization and function independently with minimal oversight is necessary. Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation required.
Implements and administers a region-wide volunteer program, including direct services and episodic volunteers. Volunteers may include mentors, tutors, interns and groups who want to do specific or short term projects. Consults with Regional Vice Presidents/ Metro Program Vice Presidents to plan, develop, implement and administer volunteer activities. Serves as regional contact for the Holiday Gift Drive, and reports to the Director of Volunteer Services.
