PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspects incoming and outgoing parts, materials, or work pieces to meet required visual, dimensional, and test requirement of engineering drawings and organizational specifications. Visual inspection of finished products for rough edges, cracks, and appearance. Uses calipers & other measuring equipment to verify that physical properties and size of materials meet conformance specifications. Utilizes electronic system to identify and track non-conformance items. Completes and distributes appropriate paperwork. Utilizes and abides by ISO9001 Quality Management System and Safety Procedures. Complies with all safety and quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions. Able to use Windows, Word & Excel.
Ability to comprehend and utilize ISO 9001 Quality Management System procedures. Flexibility with regard to job assignments. Ability to lift 60 pounds, if required. Ability to read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and/or assimilate verbal work instructions. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to conduct visual inspection ( weld inspection) according to engineering standards.
