BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
HOURS: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 6:30 A.M. TO 8:00 A.M., AND 2:00 P.M. TO 5:45 P.M.
Must be available to work PM or AM/PM shifts as indicated for the entire program dates.
Under general supervision, does hands-on work in planning, conducting, and supervising recreational activities for elementary age children at a designated school or community center. Programs are generally before and after-school or all day during school breaks. Activities include group games and activities, arts & crafts, sports, and supervised outside play, etc.
Responsibilities may include supervision of volunteers, recreation aides and other subordinate staff. Adapts work to facilities available and to participants needs. Receives general instructions from, and reports to, an immediate supervisor regarding the program and responsibilities to be administered. Clears procedures and participant behavior problems with their immediate supervisor.

Help administers a general recreation program at an school or facility.
Stimulates interest and direct a variety of activities.
Issues, receives and has custody of recreation equipment and supplies.
May supervise and instruct Recreation Aides and/or volunteers assigned to assist activities.
Inspects facilities and equipment, and recommends maintenance and repair work as necessary.
Maintain attendance and activity records and reports as directed.
Makes recommendations in regard to the site community-wide recreation program.
Assist in off-site field trips.
Moves and sets up equipment, cleans areas and facilities, and performs light custodial work

Applicants must be at least 17 years old, have a High School diploma or GED required. Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid AZ driver’s license. Must be available to work PM or AM/PM shifts as indicated for the entire program dates. Must have experience, or the desire to gain experience, working with elementary age children in a recreation setting.
Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
