Under general supervision, assists in performing technical office electric engineering duties (including field work) in the installation of new utility services, relocating and reconditioning existing services, utility extensions, and other engineering services as required. Manage projects assigned from initial conception to final completion with assistance from the Engineering Coordinator and/or Engineering Assistant II. Utilizes construction plans, field notes, personal computer and any other devices available to complete the design of engineering projects. Conducts on-site surveys to generate field notes of existing facilities and assists in surveying and staking facility locations. Coordinates, assists, and communicates with construction crews and customers as necessary to resolve conflicts and promote the completion of a project. Other duties include preparing material lists and cost estimates, performing simple electrical load calculations and assisting in the restoration of facilities during storm situations.

Educational Requirements: Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field. A valid NC Driver's license is required. Applications accepted until position is filled.
