The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Lifetime Health Medical Group offer an ASHP Accredited Postgraduate Year One Pharmacy residency with a focus on Ambulatory Care. Strengths of this program include interdisciplinary patient care, teaching and research. The resident receives training in pharmacotherapy management of various chronic ambulatory disease states as well as medication therapy management and medication reconciliation. The resident is trained through learning experiences in the core areas of ambulatory patient care, inpatient care, practice management, research, teaching and learning, and precepting as described below.

The group is unique in that services such as laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and urgent care are offered in-house allowing for patient convenience and continuity of care. Lifetime Health Medical Group provides primary care to more than 80,000 patients in Buffalo and Rochester, NY. The MedSense Pharmacy Program is the clinical pharmacy service with which the resident will be primarily involved, providing patient-centered pharmacotherapy management services to patients at four locations in the Buffalo area: Hamburg, Amherst, West Seneca, and downtown Buffalo, NY. Must possess a PharmD degree conferred by an ACPE Accredited University and be eligible for pharmacist licensure in New York State.
