This position exists to provide comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. The incumbent acts in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist.
Basic Life Support certification required.
Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
Requires ability to provide oversight for pharmacy technician activities.
Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and controlled substances.
Requires knowledge of pharmacy and hospital information systems.
