  • JOB SUMMARY The Pharmacy Manager assists in the development and implementation of pharmacy departmental policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Responsibilities include the overall management, planning, organizing and directing of all aspects of pharmacy operations to comply with standards set forth by regulatory organizations and integration of department activities in the overall organization. Assists in the development of professional guidelines to ensure quality pharmacy services. . Ensures adherence to the Corporate Compliance Policy. Either works closely with or under supervision of system Pharmacy Director. Performs other related duties as required .

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: B.S., Pharm D, MS in Pharmacy or MBA/MHA from an accredited college

    Experience: Three to five years of managerial experience in pharmacy, preferably hospital related

    License/Registration: Current license as a Pharmacist in the state of North Carolina

    Other: No former legal encounters involving drug abuse, alcohol abuse or theft

    TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires frequent walking, standing, reaching with extended periods of sitting; less frequent working above floor level, grasping and lifting up to 50 lbs; infrequent bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing and pulling. Requires eye/hand coordination; manual dexterity; vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges; clear diction; written and verbal communication skills.
