Web developers are responsible for day-to-day site design and creation. Develops and designs web applications and web sites. Creates and specifies architectural and technical parameters. Directs web site content creation, enhancement and maintenance. Publishes documents to a Web environment. Tags, loads, and links documents using HTML, SGML, and XML. Adds metadata to documents as needed. Provides quality control on a publication-by-publication basis. Publishes documents to a variety of systems and environments as needed and within specified guidelines. Participates in the evaluation of new Web authoring tools, utilities and standards.Manages a website. Configures and monitors audit files for security issues. Configures and monitors various Web search engines. Configures and reports statistics concerning Web site usage. Provides reports and repairs broken links. Evaluates new Web authoring tools or products. Ensures overall Web site quality assurance to include properly formatted metadata, common look and feel pages, and navigation buttons. Provides daily publication guidance to HTML taggers or content providers.
