The Project Manager helps determine both technical and business goals in consultation with branch and sometimes senior management and makes detailed plans for the accomplishment of these goals. They are responsible for ensuring that technical projects are adequately staffed, managed, and coordinated. They are responsible for ensuring that the correct technical skills are in place at the correct time and place for the accomplishment of the mission.
The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities related to a specific project or task. They perform day-to-day management of the project and may develop long-term and strategic objectives to ensure that end user requirements will be met. They perform horizontal integration planning and interface with other functional areas. Ensures technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner. They may coordinate activities in support of government or contractor program managers and teams that support the provisioning, design, installation, maintenance, and billing of services. Prepares deliverables (e.g. status reports, order information, open issues. Works in a team oriented environment).
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology Management or technical discipline with related industry experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or network engineering; PMP-certification; if no degree, must have experience commensurate with the Level being requested in a relevant industry.
