The Program Manager is a customer-oriented person with senior level project management, communication skills & experience with a strong technical understanding of wireless networks. A Program Manager has the ability to influence and successfully manage cross-functional teams to achieve project success. This consultant should have strong engagement management and business skills, deep technical insights and have the ability to speak in both business and technical terms. Experience with managing internal & external customers, along with understanding of wireless network deployment lifecycles is a plus.

Program Manager advocates for end-users and customers, with emphasis for anticipating customer needs. Program Manager will have the ability to lead within a product’s life cycle using senior level project management skills, insights, and negotiation skills to define and deliver results.

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • May be responsible for directing the work effort of a number of Project Managers
  • Initiating a project/program design, planning various aspects of the project's execution and organizing necessary internal and external resources to provide the customer with technical, management and cost proposals
  • Develop a complete understanding of the customer's business needs. Serve as principal interface between the customer, the project team and any internal/external partners participating in the project
  • Create a proposal/contract suitable to each customer's needs. Manage allocation of resources to ensure project/contract deliverables
  • Review project/program financials for impact on schedule, variation and change control
  • Develop the necessary project/program to fulfill the desired results of the customer
  • Resolve discrepancies and provide solutions or alternatives when issues arise
  • Manage complex projects/programs that have multiple customers, high volume and long time-spans
  • Coordinate and manage the order fulfillment, tracking and order delivery
  • Coordinate the service readiness for the internal functional groups
  • Coordinate master schedule that entails customer deliverable activities
  • Manage weekly updates and communicate progress internally and externally
  • Assess the financial impact of the project through comparing forecasted numbers with actual figures
  • Provide leadership on multiple high-revenue projects of high complexity - typically with EF&I responsibilities for numerous products/services, multiple locations and ownership of other vendors

Required Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years in Program Management, or Sr. Project Management experience
·
Proven Program Management knowledge, leadership and skills
·
7+ years of applied wireless telecommunications experience
·
Experience/understanding of the 2G, 3G & LTE wireless networks
·
Highly organized, detail oriented
·
Expert in 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, Core and RAN wireless networks
·
Significant experience with creating budgets and financial management
·
Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task across several assignments
·
Ability to think creatively and work under pressure
·
Strong customer interface skills
·
Knowledge and use of project management systems/tools; Microsoft Office proficiency (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
·
Skilled in program management reporting & tracking
·
Relationship management - ability to develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships
·
Presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communications skills
·
Self-starter – able to work independently with limited supervision
·
Displays sense of urgency, tenacity & follow-through
·
PMP Certification desired
·
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering or related technical disciplines
