Overview:
PMT is looking to hire a Part-time Scheduler.

The Scheduler is responsible for recording hours of work, processing and coordinating schedule, and monitoring basic operations. This position has direct contact with all department managers and all employees within the operations.

Responsibilities:
Administrative
Work with operational leaders to design schedules for all employees in various departments within the operation.
Maintain an electronic employee database that tracks key payroll and schedule information about all employees.
Interpret the daily staffing needs, and develop strategies that, when implemented, will positively affect the overall operations.
Review and comprehend Company policies and Collective Bargaining Agreement articles which pertain to employees and their scheduling requirements.
Ability to report the daily staffing needs and planned interventions to the departmental managers, and implement any changes that may be required.
Works with the departmental leaders to schedule and approve overtime as necessary to meet appropriate staffing requirements.
Ability to work on projects alone, or with a group, taking in all aspects presented, and work collectively to create the ideal finished project.
Maintains a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with all appropriate OSHA standards, company policies and local standard operating procedures.

Customer Service
Professionally answers phones and works with all employees to obtain optimal departmental staffing levels.
Handles multiple tasks in order to serve customer base as necessary.
Maintains professional composure under stress.
Maintains flexible availability to meet operational demands.
Training
Attends all Company-required OSHA training, annual training, and all mandatory updates.
Completes all training in the allotted time set by the Company.
Maintains and continuously develops knowledge of the Scheduler job.
Keeps current on training for new procedures, and techniques.
Assists with training and education of new employees on the electronic time keeping system.

Compliance:
Complies and enforces all policies and procedures.
Has successfully completed all required Compliance Training within the required time period.
Has had no compliance related corrective action during the current review period.

Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals, teams, managers, supervisors, and external customers. Excellent ability to communicate and work cohesively across Department lines.
Must have computer competency including proficiency with Microsoft Suite, and understanding of database programs, and type 40 wpm (minimum).
Must have the ability to consistently deliver outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers.
Highly dependable and ability to meet internal deadlines consistently.
Strong organization skills and attentiveness to detail.
Flexible and adaptable, willing and able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
Must have the ability to work independently as well as in groups.
Ability to maintain a professional manner and appearance at all times.
Minimum of one year experience in office setting preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
