The Department of Families Extension with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is seeking qualified candidates for a Program Coordinator II.

This position will provide administrative coordination and assist in the development of a virtual home visitation project. The program coordinator will convene and facilitate conversation with stakeholders, ISU Extension and Outreach (ISUEO) staff and project partners to inform the development of the home visitor web-based system while communicate regularly with project partners and ISUEO staff about project progress. This position will identify existing evidence-based or evidence-informed resources and assessments to use in home visitor web-based system. In addition, the incumbent will assist with overseeing the development of the online learning modules and other web-based learning opportunities and provide content support as needed. The Program Coordinator will prepare project reports; assist with identifying training needs of project staff, as well as assist with training project staff.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional time management, as well as written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively interact with others and reach the targeted audiences and programs. The ability to develop and effectively facilitate collaborative projects, including effectively facilitate group discussions and decision-making is essential in this role. The candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and takes initiative.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant professional experience OR a Master's degree with 2 years OR a equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 8 years.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Human Development and Family Studies or related degree.

Experience in delivering educational programs and/or working with parents with young children (0-5 years of age) in one-on-one setting, especially in a home visitor program.

Experience with designing and/or delivering education in an online environment.

Experience working with parents of various socio-economic status, educational and ethnic/racial backgrounds.

Familiarity with Cooperative Extension Families education programming and the mission of land grant institutions.

Demonstrated experience or knowledge of evidence-based programs and practices.

Demonstrated experience or knowledge of standardized assessment tools related to parenting education and family support programming.

Commensurate with education and experience.
