The corporate Paralegal will assist in-house in investigations and litigation. Litigation support will primarily encompass the areas of environmental (asbestos) and employee and labor relations issues as well as tort matters.
Liaise with company officers and outside counsel as necessary
Assist in investigations, document production, interrogatories, file management, record maintenance and litigation summaries
General office administration, including calendar/docketing, operations issues and file maintenance
Conduct research on regulatory and corporate legal issues relevant to the company
- Bachelors Degree in Paralegal studies
- 5 to 8 years of experience in-house legal department
- Computer literacy: Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
- Good written and communication skills
- Outstanding organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to take direction but work independently
- Ability to use good judgment and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Attention to detail
