This position is responsible for the general maintenance, cleaning, and preservation of floors within all City-owned buildings. This is accomplished by use of high power equipment such as buffers, automatic scrubbers, high pressure washers, vacuums, brooms and mops for cleaning and general maintenance of floors and carpets.

Core Responsibilities:
Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner.

Performs routine floor maintenance including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning carpet and restroom floors, stripping and waxing floors.

Ensures all Government Center Equipment is in good working order.

Orders supplies and procures materials and equipment.

Writes reports and correspondence. Prepares and maintains records and files on maintenance operations. Coordinates with the Maintenance Technician on project and budgetary items.

Regular attendance required.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.

One year experience as a custodian in a commercial environment, with experience cleaning and maintaining floors.

Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
