This position is responsible for supporting End User Computing Issues. This is a position that provides accurate and timely support services for end user devices. Working under general supervision this position is responsible to install and trouble-shoot hardware, software, and network problems for the clients they support. Also provides an assist in the general evaluation of business problems, evaluates and recommends vendor packages, and implements required software. Assists in the evaluation of new personnel end-user computing packages and equipment as well as in the implementation and testing of prototypes. Consults with client area management and staff regarding end-user equipment problems or malfunctions and recommends solutions.
High School Diploma required and some college preferred.
3+ years of experience with desk top support/desk top help desk support or a B.S. degree in computer science or related degree plus 1+ years of experience is preferred.
Experience with personal computers and software applications.
Ability to learn systems with little or no documentation.
Continuous learning of new systems, business processes, and concepts are a must
At least one year of Network Experience as it pertains to Device Connectivity and Network/PC trouble shooting is preferred.
Technical skills and competencies
Hospital environment experience a plus
- A+ and MCP Certification is preferred; Experience may be substituted for certification where appropriate.
