The Teller will provide service support to Member transaction needs in a manner that is professional, friendly and compliant with all policies and procedures. In doing so, the Teller will recommend and refer new and alternative services to Members that best fit their financial needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
â¢ Professionally process all Member-based teller transactions:
a) Deliver and properly document all Teller transactions;
b) Maintain, balance and control all cash based transactions;
c) Provide friendly and personal service for all service requests;
d) Monitor transactions to avoid losses to Member from fraud;
e) Assist other Tellers with work as needed.
â¢ Provide processing support for mail and night depository transactions and balancing of ATMs.
â¢ Identify and recommend new and alternative services to Members that will properly fit their financial needs.
â¢ Meet or exceed assigned service and productivity goals established for this position.
â¢ Perform all duties in a manner that is 100% compliant with KEMBA policies and procedures.
â¢ Assist in other areas as directed by Credit Union management.
â¢ Develop an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, policies and operational procedures.
â¢ On a self-directed basis, continue to improve individual level of competency through training and certification on established educational programs.
â¢ Must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with coworkers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; and (c) respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor. Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
Prior teller or cash handling experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Must value a high degree of accuracy
Effective communication skills
Basic PC skills (Windows)
