Job Title: Part Time Transportation/Meet & Greet Agent Area of Interest: Customer Service/Call Center
Location: Port of Miami and/or Miami International Airport; scheduled in Port Everglades and/or Fort Lauderdale International Airport as needed
Schedule: On-Call (PD) - including weekends and holidays ( minimum of one shift per every four weeks, in accordance with our ships schedule)
Hours/Shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm; hours will vary, based on staffing levels
Answers general questions in an accurate and pleasant manner. Takes the initiative to assist each and every guest.
Behaves and treats other employees, guests and the public in a courteous, cooperative, respectful and professional manner.
Greets all guests with a smile and welcomes them to Carnival Cruise Lines; fosters a welcoming and friendly atmosphere at all times.
Carries and displays the approved “Carnival Meet & Greet Signage” at shoulder height to ensure proper visibility.
Volunteers assistance and circulates in the luggage area, remaining accessible and approachable.
Directs guests to proper areas (i.e. check-in counter, waiting area).
Registers guests for their cruise in the computer system by obtaining proper documentation (i.e. passports, visas, residency cards, etc.); verifies that all paperwork is correctly filled out.
Acknowledges guest(s) name several times during the registration/check-in process and welcomes back past guests, if applicable.
Registers all guests on the Sail & Sign program.
Qualifies guests with transfers and consults manifest as needed.
Pro-actively and efficiently sells transportation; documents transactions accurately and completes all required accounting procedures as per set standards.
Issues stateroom keys/Sail & Sign cards accordingly and ensures guest luggage is tagged.
Provides guests with pertinent information regarding transportation, pier experience and sailing, according to department manual and training.
Ensures that all physically challenged/special needs guests are handled respectfully and appropriately.
Escorts guests to the bus and controls guest flow accordingly.
Keeps accountability of guests by filing Sail & Sign application per stateroom number and double-checking guests' paper work. Works with supervisors at the end of the day to ensure guest paperwork is collected and sent to the pier.
Completes transfer sales reconciliation form and sends a copy to ship’s Guest Services.
Performs luggage sweep of all airline carousels at the end of each day and immediately reports any leftover luggage to the supervisor and airline representative; assists with expediting luggage, as needed.
Clears and cleans workstation and/or area by the end of each day and ensures all paper work has been turned in to appropriate personnel.
Shows flexibility by performing any and all additional duties/projects assigned by supervisors on a daily basis. Requirements: In order to be part of our FUN team, these are some of the requirements :
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 18 years of age
Required to work and travel in Dade and Broward County
Must be able to perform duties standing up 100% of the time; ability to lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull an occupied/unoccupied wheelchair
Minimum 1 year experience in customer service; preferably within the travel industry
Detail-oriented and possess excellent English verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Work effectively in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment, and handle pressure well
Excellent command of the English language, and interpersonal skills
Computer proficient and excellent typing skills; successfully pass a pre-interview alphanumeric test
Able to work weekends, holidays and /or certain weekdays
Must be able to attend training classes: December 17, 18, 19, 20, 23 & 29
