Dewberry is currently seeking an Part-time (20 -30 hours a week)Administrative Assistant in our Gaithersburg, MD office. The Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of administrative functions in support of a fast-paced, multi-discipline group. The Administrative Assistant must be flexible, technologically savvy and client focused. This position will provide: •Support for business development and marketing efforts • Support for professional and technical staff • General administrative support and specialized targeted support •The support provided by the Administrative Assistant is diverse and ranges from general office/executive support duties to technical work that requires strong capabilities in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, InDesign and Adobe Acrobat. The Administrative Assistant will also need to learn and become proficient in Deltek Vision, and other Dewberry-specific software programs.


• Supports professional and technical staff • Supports business development and marketing efforts • Creates, edits and maintains spreadsheets in MS Excel • Creates, edits and maintains forms, templates, reports, specifications, and letters in MS Word • Creates, edits and maintains presentations in MS PowerPoint • Orders supplies • Filing and archiving both electronic and hard copy documents • Schedules appointments and makes travel arrangements • Gives information to callers • Composes memos • Transcribes notes • Handles multiple concurrent projects • Other duties as required

Required Skills & Required Experience:

2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred • Experience working with Engineering or Architectural firm a plus • Expert level knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook required • Must possess the ability to create improved work efficiencies through the effective application of technology. • Must be service oriented and flexible with a “can do” attitude • Must be able to speaks clearly, annunciates word and portray a warm, professional demeanor • Must be able to organize and prioritize workload as needed to meet client schedules • Ability to work independently while following instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job • The ability to learn and rapidly become proficient in; Deltek Vision, InDesign and other Dewberry-specific software programs
