POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a part-time Curriculum Developer contractor to support the growing state-of-the-art program that uses science, technology engineering and math (STEM) as a platform to transform curious middle and high school students into technically literate, mathematically adept innovators. ESSENTIAL DUTIES " RESPONSIBILITIES: Designs and develops interdisciplinary robotics curriculum for 5th - 12th grade international students Designs and develops instructor materials including: syllabi, lesson plans and instructor delivery guidelines and assessment tools Collaborates with other subject matter experts and applies best learning practices and project management skills in design and development production Review and edit documents efficiently and effectively in a technical writing capacity REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Knowledge, Skills " Abilities: Course design, curriculum architecture, teaching, performance measurement, multimedia tools, course development Ability to work independently as a subject matter expert and with others to synthesize key discipline elements and craft into engaging exercises Understanding of effective techniques of teaching robotics, science, math and technology to school-age children Expertise in learning theory and the application to audiences of various ages and cultures Strong written, editing and proofreading skills with high attention to detail Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately 2. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor°s level degree in Instructional Design, Education, Computer Science or related field 6 - 8 years designing instruction in science, math, engineering, software or related subjects K-12 teaching experience, especially robotics, science or math and multimedia tools Experience programming robots in NXT, Natural Language, ROBOTC language and/or other programming language
