Class times are assigned by mutual agreement between the department and the successful applicant, with classes occurring MWF and TR from 8 am until 8:15 pm.

Job Summary/Basic Function
The University is accepting applications for Part Time Instructors in English composition [ENGL 1101 and 1102] on a regular basis. When an opening is available your application will be considered in the candidate pool. Courses are three contact hours each with expectation of office hours. No more than three courses can be offered to a successful applicant in a given term.

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of current rhetoric/composition pedagogy, passion for teaching and learning, abilities to engage students in active learning and to respond to their writing in helpful and timely ways

Minimum Qualifications
18 graduate semester hours of English courses

Preferred Qualifications
demonstrated excellence in teaching twenty-first-century undergraduate students
