Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences invite applicants for a part-time Research Technician in the microbiology research laboratory. The successful candidate will help to organize the laboratory and will be expected to manage a research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. The laboratory studies the role of the Helicobacter pylori cytotoxin in disease and cancer development; therefore, the candidate must have knowledge of aseptic work techniques, and have worked with tissue culture, biochemical, and cell biological assays.
A Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or science related field is required, and 1-2 years laboratory experience is preferred. The candidate must also have an interest in learning new techniques, have good communication skills and be able to work independently.
This grant-funded position is temporary through April 2013 and has the potential to be extended. Interested candidates should submit a letter of application, resume and references to:
