Perform technical assistance for faculty by working with students during studio lab time on class assignments. Assist in overseeing the various levels of sewing skills and provide guidance on all steps of garment construction. Work closely with the instructor to achieve the learning outcomes.

High School diploma required; sewing certificate preferable but not required. Four years of professional sample hand experience in the fashion ready to wear or multiple areas of the industry necessary. Individual must have excellent knowledge of various industry sewing machines (i.e., industrial overlock, buttonhole, straight stitch) and techniques in both hand and machine sewing. Excellent understanding of various fabrics and their applications necessary.
Days/Hours: 32 weeks (Fall/Spring only) 25-hours per week
Monday-Friday (time to be established each semester and schedule subject to change based on department needs)
Schedule/Step: 91/0 $29.34/hr.
