Maintain Library collection
Works under the general guidance and direction of the Circulation Supervisor and the Assistant Director/Head of Adult Services.
Examples Of Essential Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shelve incoming Library materials (books, periodicals, audio books, videos/DVDs); read shelves; straighten books on shelves; assist at Front Desk as needed; clear tables at closing time, turn off computers, perform closing routine.
Slip books and assist patrons with Library card applications; assist with programs as needed.
Education and Experience:
High school education. High school student acceptable. Library experience preferred.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient computer skills using Windows and Microsoft Office; must demonstrate excellent customer/public service skills and ability to work with people of diverse ages and backgrounds; ability to deal with public in a pleasant manner, take messages accurately, take fine money, and make change.
Read and understand Dewey Decimal Classification System.
Interest in and experience with video games a plus.
