Openings: Part-time positions open with the Parks and Recreation Department working in
the Youth Activity Center (YAC).
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week, September 2012 through June 2013
Hiring Date: A.S.A.P
Knowledge and Abilities: This position must provide supervision, planning, and overseeing activities at the YAC. Must oversee and plan activities for kids in grades 4th through 7th. Must work with participants, volunteers and parents in providing a positive experience. Must provide homework assistance for youth in need. A willingness and ability to drive a 10 passenger van and transport children to and from field trips.
Experience and Training
High school diploma or equivalent; six months of experience working with youth or adult recreational and/or outdoor recreation programs. Any combination of education and experience will be considered. Ability to work effectively with staff and general public in a team environment.
18 years of age with a valid Oregon Driver's License. Red Cross CPR/First Aid Standard Certification or willingness to obtain.
